We are in the midst of wrapping up yet another busy school year.

Hello family, friends, and support family,

We are in the midst of wrapping up yet another busy school year, and in a greater sense, our time of residence here in the United States. As summer nears, we grow more anxious and excited for our departure to the Dominican Republic and all that God has in store for us there.

Our calendar is quite full up until the time we plan to leave, late July or mid-August. Tyler and Levi will each celebrate their respective graduation events at the end of May. Dan will end his contract with Heritage Christian School at the end of June. And Twyla's family will be gathering for a reunion over the July 4th weekend. Please pray for our collective endurance as we desire to complete our responsibilities with honor and integrity.

God has been so faithful to us, we can feel His hand guiding us; especially these past few weeks, tying up loose ends and preparing our hearts. We are comfortably reminded His plans and timing are faultless.

Since October of last year, Twyla and I have been involved in a discipleship small group, F.I.R.E. (Fellowship Igniting Radical Evangelism) which has been filled with invaluable lessons and applications. We are grateful for the rich, sweet experiences and depth of relationship we shared. Now completed, our time spent has further equipped and encouraged us to confidently seek those who are being drawn to our Heavenly Father.

We desire to acknowledge the numerous people, groups, and organizations which have made the decision to partner with us in our ministry of impacting the world for Christ and expanding His kingdom. We are in awe and humbled by the consistent prayer offered on our behalf for the care, safety, and success of this endeavor. We are eternally indebted to those who have also committed their finances to support us. Your faithfulness to the Gospel is a testament to others.

Currently, we have achieved nearly 70% of our monthly budget. We are very encouraged; momentum is building. We urge you to continue to pray about your involvement and support of this ministry. If you sense God leading you, please follow His prompting and act now. There is no better time. Your monthly commitment provides the foundation for us to work with the poor and the marginalized in small communities in and around Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic.

"Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, "Who is the Lord?" or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God." - Proverbs 30:8-9

Prayer Requests and Praises:

  • Pray for this time of preparation during transition for our family. There are still a multitude of tasks that need to be taken care of prior to our departure.
  • Pray for each of us as we prepare to adapt and assimilate into a new culture. Specifically, language acquisition, lifestyle adaptation, and ministry involvement.
  • Pray for Dan's mom, Kay, as she discovers her independence when our family departs. Our desire is for her to embrace the local church community and realize God's comfort in His presence.
  • Pray for our continued fundraising efforts. We are adamant toward the advice given us not to depart until we're fully funded.
  • Praise the Name of the Lord our God, Praise His Name forevermore! It is with humbled heart to realize He wants to use us in our brokenness to shine a light unto the world so that the lost can be found. His grace abounds!
